About Stephen Chahn Lee

Stephen Chahn Lee's career journey combines the law, journalism, and medicine. Stephen was a pre-med student in college but switched to journalism and the law due to his love of those areas. He worked for major news organizations, two large law firms, and the federal government before starting his solo practice in 2022.

He served as the senior counsel to the Chicago U.S. Attorney’s Office’s health care fraud unit, helping advise and train prosecutors and law-enforcement agents. He also advised Medicare’s Center for Program Integrity on ways to deter fraud, waste and abuse more efficiently. In his former practices, Stephen worked on large internal investigations, one of the largest Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations, and a high-profile defamation suit.

Beyond his professional achievements, Stephen's creative ventures and community involvement include writing an analysis of the Sherlock Holmes stories that led to his induction in the oldest Sherlock Holmes literary society, organizing events about Asian-American legal history, and serving on the boards of bar associations in Chicago.
